9 year old male (neutered) dog Rocky for rehoming

Rocky is 9 years old, he is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is 38lbs. Rocky has dog aggression and a high prey drive and therefore should be the only pet in the home.

Rocky can become very hyper at times and he needs a family who can handle his crazy energy. With that being said, his hyper energy is only occasional and he is usually very relaxed and just loves to be with you. Rocky has this burst of energy when guests arrive to your home. He will jump on them, bark at them and run around trying to play with them. He calms down very quickly in about 5 minutes.

Rocky also seems to have some Separation anxiety tendencies such as barking non stop if he is locked away from you but knows you’re close by, for example being locked in the bedroom when he knows you are downstairs. Rocky does not bark if he knows you have gone out and he is the only one home. He will just happily sleep in his crate.

Rocky is amazing with all kids and people. He loves to curl up in bed with you at night, he will not do well if he isn’t allowed to sleep in bed with you as he would most likely bark all night if he couldn’t be with you. Rocky is crate trained while no one is home. He is fully trained to go to the bathroom outdoors however has been known to “mark his territory” in new environments and when left home alone out of his crate. Rocky thinks he is a lap dog, always wants to be on or next to you. He has so much love to give and so much energy. He loves walks, he just needs to avoid other dogs. He is very happy and healthy and full of life.

We don’t know what breeds he is we just know his birthday is October 29th 2013. We love Rocky very much and are heartbroken to rehome him however new circumstances have made it very difficult to continue caring for a dog at this time and we want to make sure he will end up in a perfect home for him. Rocky has a dog crate with a dog bed inside. He has another additional dog bed. He has his food and water bowls and his leash and harness. He also has a food container and some treats I will send with him.
