Keen German Shepherd x Shar-Pei, 24 months, vaxed/de-wormed/neutered/chipped

We need to find a loving new home for our boy, "Finn". He's a German Shepherd x Shar-Pei, ~24 months old. He's neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated and microchipped. We took him from a family in Hamilton who weren't able to handle him, and we've found that his issues are too much for us as well, sadly.

THE BAD:
- territorial (with a large range)
- chases cars along the fenceline
- very keen on barking
- jumps up when excited
- has chased our 2 cows on occasion, and has not stopped when told to.
- has killed 3 possums, which some people have told us can lead to more aggressive behaviour, nut we haven't seen that yet
- will chase anything that runs
- has escaped under the front gate and gone down the road 5-6 times, but not recently - we think we'[ve trained him out of that
- has an ear infection requiring medicine from the vet, but it's not cured the issue and we were told that surgery may have to be the next step

THE GOOD:
- he's actually a very lovely dog, and shows a lot of willingness to behave.
- we have a 4-yr old daughter, and he's always been very placid and gentle around her.
- he loves playing and has lots of energy.
- he is VERY FOOD MOTIVATED, and loves peanut butter, but we've had to switch him to gluten-free food to help keep the ear condition in check.

We think he has a lot of potential, but we don't have the time, training or finances to do right by him. Neighbours have started complaining and threatening action because of his barking. If you know how to train him out of these problem behaviours, or if they're not such a problem for you, we think you could have a really great dog who would be suited to some kind of work on the land, or just be a high-energy home/family dog. I don't think it would take a lot to get him over the line, but it's just a bit beyond us right now (health issues, etc).
