It is with a very heavy heart and sadness that we are rehoming our beautiful boy MYKO or Mykonous( Named after Mykonos Island)
This is due to unfortunate life circumstances for us both.
How to begin to describe MYKO is not a easy feat. If you are aware of Bengal Cats Behaviors you will understand what I am talking about,
MYKO is a MAJESTIC 3YR OLD MALE SIVER MARBLE and his markings are absolutely beautiful with the huge dark black swirl patterns over his body on a background of light cream brown and silver color fur which is very silky to the touch ,
Has extremely long limbs ( like rabbit legs } which he swaggers & struts' on with much importance and a has a tail that's over a foot long.
He is a very lean long muscly big boy with a huge apatite
Myko Mainly crazes on Cat Dry Nuts day & night which are kept in our bedroom on a tray and refreshed morning & night.
He always has about 2 large platefuls of fresh lean Ox heart at night. He doesn't always eat his meat all at once but has some then comes in again later to eat the rest, which can often be after we are in bed so his meat dish is then placed in the bedroom with his nuts.
He likes you to come with him and give him a stroke and talk to him whilst he begins to be eating, as and if you don't he will keep on talking to you tell you do.
MYKO IS a demanding boy and wants things when he wants them and doesn't like waiting, Much like most children and is very spoilt and likes to rule the roost, He is very talkative much of the time and likes you to talk back to him.
Myko is a very independent & venturous cat and does what he wants.
He absolutely loves the outdoors and open spaces and we have not been able to contain him inside unless its on his Terms (although we did try as were concerned about him outside at nite) In the end we had to accept the inevitable and let him out,.
He spends many hours day and night off exploring the open farmland and beyond, We would love to have a GPS tracker on him to track his goings on as he can vanish for up to 24hrs sometimes which is quite worrying. His whims for what he decides he wants to do can change daily..
He is not keen on water so if its raining he will usually seek indoors somewhere on one of the beds or inside the caravan, if he is around .Even on warmer days he will often sleep inside depending on his whims.
Myko does love his humans but he tolerates affection from us on his terms in in short sessions. He loves head butting & smooches your face.He will at times decide to curl up on your chair with you and will lie in the sun by us when he feels inclined. Loves sleeping in the dog beds and nicknamed LITTLE DOG DUE 2 HIS SIZE.He enjoys 2 be placed over the shoulder for a short time cuddle and will ofte be affectionate and climb on your back if down doing something.
He usually sleeps on our bed on & off through the night depending on his escapades and loves to sleep on a fluffy blanket.
His food is left out in our room on a tray so we always hear him munching away during the night. Our room is like his safe haven as thats where we kept him when he first came home with us.
MYKO NEEDS TO BE PREFERABLY REHOMED with a couple who can give them their time and devotion like we have.
WE PREFER he be homed with No other animals as does not get on with them.
He did grow up with our Border Collies so fine with them but will not tolerate any one other cat or dogs at our place as this is his domain. He will get most upset around other animals and If he was left with other animals he will fight and most probably end up running away which would be devastating for him and us or new owner.
Whenever we are going away for a overnight or days or longer we always place him in a very good cattery which has a huge outside area as well as a very very large indoors with all the climbing frames , beds and hidey holes. Even though he is not happy to go he settles in OK as its neutral territory, but keeps well away from the other cats.
We wont leave him at home as it is too risky as he is the type of bred that will take off if left alone at home and may not find him. Also with being a valuable cat he could be stolen.
There is so much more about him to tell , but one has to click with him and love him like we do to experience his values.
We can only hope and pray that the right people will want him and LOVE and cherish him as we have,
